1. What the site provides

ClearPathCalc offers free calculators and explanatory guides on personal finance, business, health and home energy. The calculators run in your browser and produce estimates from the numbers you enter and the formulas described on each page.

2. Estimates, not advice

Results and articles are for general education and planning only. They are not financial, investment, tax, legal, medical or other professional advice, and using the site does not create a client or patient relationship with anyone. Read the full disclaimer before relying on a result for an important decision.

3. Accuracy

We check every calculator and guide against published sources and correct errors when we find them (see the update log). Even so, tax rules, rates and guidelines change, and a calculator can only reflect the inputs and assumptions it is given. The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the calculators and read the guides for personal or internal business purposes. Please do not:

• copy or republish substantial parts of the guides or page designs without permission;
• scrape the site in a way that disrupts it, or try to access systems you are not meant to;
• interfere with the ads, security features or normal operation of the site.

Quoting a short passage with a link back to the source page is welcome.

5. Intellectual property

The text, graphics, page designs and code on ClearPathCalc are protected by copyright. The mathematical formulas themselves are standard and published, and you are free to use them however you like.

6. Links and advertising

Guides link to outside sources such as the IRS, the World Health Organization and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. We are not responsible for the content of outside sites. Ads are served by Google AdSense; an ad appearing on the site is not an endorsement of the advertiser, and advertisers have no influence over our calculators or articles.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ClearPathCalc and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on any result or article, including financial loss, tax penalties or health outcomes.

8. Privacy

How the site handles data and cookies is described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
